J. Lee is a director, editor, sound designer, and composer with deep roots in music and visual storytelling. His career began in the music world, spending over two decades producing various styles of music and founding the Seattle-based record label Audiodose and recording facility AD1 Studios.

During that time he wrote, produced, mixed, and engineered tracks for hundreds of artists, including hip hop legends like Redman and Guru, and also created music for numerous television programs, including The Big Bang Theory, America’s Next Top Model, MSNBC, America’s Most Wanted, Fear Factor, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, Step Up, and Flavor of Love.

Throughout that period he simultaneously developed his camera and editing skills, creating over 60 music videos and two documentaries.

In 2019, he transitioned into narrative filmmaking. Blending a hands-on, multi-disciplinary approach, he continues to work as a director, editor, cinematographer, sound designer, and composer.
